How thermal sublimation printer works?
Sublimation printers work by setting solid pigments in four colors (cyan, magenta, yellow and black, or CMYK) on a drum that is fitted with tens of thousands of semiconductor heating elements. When these elements are heated enough, the solid pigment can be converted directly into a gas, and then the gas is sprayed onto the printing medium. Each semiconductor heating element can be adjusted to 256 dregree temperature, allowing for the ability to adjust color ratios and shades to achieve a continuous color photo effect. Among several types of thermal conversion printers, the thermal sublimation printer has the best output effect, but its disadvantages are that the printing speed is very slow and the printing medium is high, which directly increase the printing cost.
